Polycystic Ovarian Disease

CORRECT         CLINICAL REASONING:
Mother has PCOS. Ultrasound reveals cysts on her ovaries and her testosterone levels are elevated. Polycystic ovaries develop when ovaries are stimulated to produce excessive amounts of androgenic hormones. She also c/o having irregular periods for years. Pt with PCOS typically present with symptoms of androgenic excess which is the case in this patient.
