Acetaminophen poisoning

CORRECT        CLINICAL REASONING:
500mg of extra strength Tylenol x2 = 1000 mg X 6 a day = 6000 mg for past 2 – 3 days caused Acetaminophen poisoning. NAPQI remains in its toxic form and the result is widespread hepatocyte damage and death, leading to acute liver necrosis. This patient is now in acute liver failure.
