Centrilobular emphysema
CORRECT CLINICAL REASONING:
Centrilobular emphysema has destroyed so much lung tissue that he has no reserve of oxygen. He ahs lost surface area of alveoli and when he does any activity it uses up all his alveoli spaces and he has to stop. This is considered end stage emphysema b/c inhalers and oxygen do very little to help.
